Justin Boyd, PT, DPT, OCS grew up in Kenner, LA, and graduated from Grace King High School in Metairie. He then attended the University of New Orleans receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy training from LSUHSC-Shreveport in 2018, and received the Faculty Award for Clinical Excellence. After graduation, he was accepted into an orthopedic residency at LSUHSC-Shreveport in 2019, and passed the orthopedic specialist certification exam May 2020 becoming a Board Certified Orthopedic Physical Therapy Specialist.
Justin has a certification in Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training through Owens Recovery Science. He is certified in myofascial decompression (cupping) as well as level one and two trigger point dry needling certified through MS/United Dry Needling. He is an active member in APTA, LPTA and the Academy of Orthopedic Physical Therapy.
Justin loves anything sports related particularly football and strength training. He also enjoys spending down time with his beautiful wife, Erica. Justin is an avid Saints and LSU fan. He is a member of Word of God church in Shreveport, and Lakeview Christian Center in New Orleans when he returns home to visit his family. Justin has a passion for his patients, making it his priority to get them back to what they love most.
